![]() The Husqvarna 324L is a hand-held, straight shaft weed trimmer. It’s the best I’ve ever used and I don’t plan on changing anytime soon. (The hands down best weed eater you’ll ever use) Quick Glance: My Top Picksġ) Husqvarna 324L Straight Shaft Gas Trimmer ![]() In this post, we’ll break down the 3 hands-down best 4 cycle weed whackers you can buy today. So all things considered, I’d always recommend a 4 cycle trimmer. They are just as every bit compact, powerful, and easy to use as the 2 stroke counterparts, yet without all the bad parts of a 2 cycle engine. They’re noisy, require mixing oil, always break, and spit out that disgusting blue smoke that nobody likes.īut now, in 2019, we have 4 stroke weed eaters. When I entered the landscaping industry some twenty years ago, 4 cycle engines were just too big and clunky to put on a stick, plus most oil pans relied on gravity.īut nobody ever liked those 2-cycle engines. Weed whackers have been around forever, but 4-stroke weed whackers are relatively new. They’re good for trimming around curbs, siding, flowerbeds and every other nook and cranny in your yard. It seems to be built decent and worked perfectly on my first use.If you’re looking for a 4 stroke string trimmer or weed eater, you’re in good company.Ī string trimmer is an essential tool for anyone who does yard work. As far as the quality goes, I can't really comment on longevity. This makes this a universal head and the best value I could find out there. So not only does it include both size arbors and instructions, it also includes two extra Springs. It stated you should change to the M10*1.25mm arbor, if it didn't fit your trimmer. It had a small instruction paper, explaining it was installed with the M10*1.00mm arbor. When I received it, I immediately noticed it contains two harbors. I contacted this seller and they said it was a M10*1.25mm harbor size. I couldn't buy the M10*1.25mm arbor online or local. I didn't have to pay, but I was stuck with two heads, that didn't fit my fs55 trimmer. ![]() They both told me that, the trimmers were M10*1.25mm threaded arbors. I bought two other heads from two other sellers. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to help out buyers. I guess these are aftermarket parts not sure if they are OEM Stihl but, hey for 15.00 and something with shipping on all sure beats trying to replace the trimmer. Once I figure out how to set the lowspeed adjustment that straightened it right out for me. I had to adjust my idle screw and lowspeed setting as after running wide open trimmer would often not idle high enough to stay running if you let off throttle too quick it would die but, would restart effortlessly and run again. I think this though depends on each specific trimmer and where you are located. I was able to get it mounted and took a bit of work to finally get the carb set right for trimmer to run correctly. I can definitley say I am pleased so far with this product. I just left my old air filter in as it wasnt that dirty anyway. Everything else though worked perfect though for the trimmer. It looks similar to my old one and for some reason just doesn't fit in the airbox on my FS46. The only thing I had a problem with is the air filter. I want to start by saying this is a great deal.
